There’s something powerful about encountering each other at the very limit of what’s bearable. That edge where the overwhelm feels so close, yet not quite here. Choosing to stay in that space—where discomfort meets connection—is what I understand is intimacy. Intimacy is a risk. Such a scary, that some of us would rather hide for the rest of our lives.
